Joint Meeting of Asia-Pacific Conference on Vision &

Australasian Experimental Psychology Conference

Auckland, New Zealand, 1-4 July 2026

About

After a resounding success this year, the Australasian Experimental Psychology Conference (EPC) and Asia Pacific Conference on Vision (APCV) are holding another joint meeting at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand, from 1-4 July 2026

APCV aims to facilitate discussion on vision research across Asia and the Pacific.

EPC aims to foster the next generation of Australasian experimental psychologists, and to provide a platform for researchers at all career stages to engage in a scientific exchange focused on experimental psychology.

The dual conference will welcome contributions from all areas of experimental psychology and vision research, with multiple topic-focused streams that delegates can switch in-between. We encourage submissions on all topics of experimental psychology, encompassing human behaviour, cognition, perception, and vision research.

The venue for the conference will be the Science Centre at the University of Auckland (see location details). More information will be posted in due course!

Student Travel Awards

This year, up to 40 student travel support awards will be given to current PhD students, to enable them to attend the EPC & APCV joint meeting in Auckland. These awards are intended to help cover the costs of travel for current PhD students who do not have access to sufficient funds to cover the costs of attendance. Awards of 500 AUD will be given to students on the basis of need. Funds will be electronically distributed to successful applicants once they have registered on site at the conference, in July 2026. As these funds are intended to address need, please do not apply (and potentially deny other students) if you have sufficient funds available to you, via your supervisor or enrolling institution, to fund your travel. Applications can be made via the abstract submission form, but abstract must be submitted by 27 February 2026. Your primary supervisor will also need to email us to endorse your application.
